Yesterday we had a break from the clouds and snowfall. The sun came out, it warmed up to 12°F, and without hesitation I bundled everyone up to head outside for as long as we could bear it (in the end, about 45 minutes).
My little snow gnome! The first time being down in the snow by yourself is a Big Deal.
Much fun by all. The Dearliest even paused in his work to make a few sledding runs down the hill.
Then, it was back inside for hot chocolate. Because what’s a sled day without hot chocolate at the end of it?
Today we used the snow in a different capacity.
Chocolate mint snow ice cream! The girls and I experimented a couple days ago with vanilla, but it didn’t turn out quite like I wanted. This time didn’t either, but you know what they say. If at first you don’t succeed, try try again! The kids are all for trying as much as possible. 😀
